Nick and Debbie's Wedding

The weekend of June 15th we celebrated Nick and Deb's wedding with them in Cincinnati (Colerain, to be exact). Aunt Val and Uncle Ray recently moved across town and everything in the wedding was near their beautiful new home. The rehearsal dinner was at the Vinoklet winery and we got to grill our entrees, which was super fun. We took fun pictures outside around the vineyard. We were both part of their bridal party, Mom was a reader, and Lauren attended the guest book. Brian, Lauren, and I went up early to get prepared. Lauren and I got our hair done with the bride, Aunt Val, and Nat. Bri got to hang out at Nick's Uncle Johnny's. Deb ended up wearing a necklace that was my Grandma's. It was absolutely gorgeous, perfect, and sentimental! She was such a beautiful bride. Nick and Deb left the church in his cousin's 55 Chevy that Aunt Val and Uncle Ray rode in at their wedding. It was neat and we rode right behind them and got some cool shots. The reception was lots of fun. Some highlights were Ben's toast (so precious and funny), dancing (of course), awesome music, and just watching Nick have a good time. He's so funny! Lindsey's Summer Vacation

So far I guess I'm enjoying my vacation. It has been pretty scheduled and busy. I just finished my last class of the summer. It is a Digital Imaging/Web Design class. This was actually a homework assignment. I also took a Video in the Classroom course that just ended last week. Of course, Brian was a huge help with this one. My first class was during the school year (end of April-mid May) about diversity. Two teachers from JME took the class with me, so we got to carpool and get to know each other better on our drives. That made the class fun and go by quick. I have been reading more and finished a few more books. I still have a huge stack of reads looming in the office. I have done more scrapbooking, making borders for my vacation pics. We are going to have a family crop weekend at our house when we get back from the cruise. We actually got at desk from Trevor that he didn't want anymore. We put it in the basement where my scrapbook stuff was. I finished organizing it last week. I haven't been to the pool as much as I'd like. Hopefully I can have more fun in the Lexington sun when we return from vacation, except when students magically pop up to say hello. I don't like revealing my bathing suit side to them. I can't wait for our vacation. We will leave on the 4th and return on the 23rd. Look for more pictures when we return. There will be lake and cruise pictures to enjoy.

Volland/Scott Girls Trip to Indy

The weekend of June 8th I went with Mom, Heather, Kelly, and Taylor to Indianapolis for a weekend of shopping. It was a blast! Indy is an undiscovered cool city. The nightlife looked like a total cool experience. Heather and I just didn't have the steam to join in the fun. We stayed at the Executive Inn Suites and it is an awesome place. They had the complimentary breakfast deal and a complimentary happy hour. Fun times! We shopped at the Edinburg Outlet Mall on Friday night and at the downtown mall on Saturday. Some memorable moments include navigating streets and highways with names beginning with North, South, East, and West and comparing it to the compass on the rear view mirror (going Southeast on West St. messes with your head); discussing and posing with the gigantic walk sign boy and girl; emergency restroom stops at Borders; leaving a too expensive restaurant before ordering; and straightener hair designs for all.
